most powerful box that can run switchfin?

hello it's me again smile

I'm wondering now besides the ip0x series, are there other more powerful devices that can run switchfin?  I know switchvoice sells PR1 device with 600mhz cpu vs. 400mhz in IP0x.   Is it the fastest that I can use?

or is there some other device more powerful?
just curious
thanks !!!

You could use the GUI 4.0 on a x86 system with only a few modifications, but in the BlackFin CPU range the PR1 is the fastest I know of however there is a BF561 chip that is 600mhz dual core, would be nice to see a corporate sized system or an IAD (built in ADSL/SHDSL) style ip04.

ok thanks Jason.
I am trying to decide if switchfin would be strong enough for a small office of 6 people.   6 streams of g.729 may overload the cpu of the ip02 I am worried.

If your phones support G729 you will have no problems (the phones do all the processing work)

I currently have an IP04 running 5 telemarketers and 4 office staff making 400-500 calls per day so you should be fine.

If it's not doing transcoding (which in most cases you won't be) then the IP0x can handle much more than that.
