Asterisk configuration files?

Hello

After checking the ./root and ./build_ip04/image_ip04 directories, I notice that the ./etc directory doesn't contain any Asterisk configuration file.

I suppose they are downloaded the first time an Atcom is flashed with a new Switchfin image.

Is there a way to get the list of those files without actually updating an Atcom, so I know which files are installed where?

My goal is to package Asterisk independently of Switchfin, so that I can update that application without reflashing the device.

Thank you.

Found them: They're in root/defaults.tgz

Re: Asterisk configuration files?

They're actually sourced from package/persistent/ip04/persistent/etc/asterisk. As for updating configuration files without flashing, rsync is useful for this.

Thanks for the tip. So build_ip04/root/defaults.tgz is built during compile-time from the above directory.

I'm still not set on which way to keep remote Atcom's up-to-date. Instead of rsync, I'll think I'll use a cron job that will connect to my server and update only if that device has been marked as in need of an update, so as to keep some control over which device gets updated and when.

Re: Asterisk configuration files?

Hi Gilles.

Yes, the persistent target in the Switchfin building process is creating the defaults.tgz

Re: Asterisk configuration files?

Thanks for the confirmation. I wanted to check how well Asterisk/Dahdi works, with and without the patches added by Switchfin.
