BR4 - Dahdi ?

Hello !

I'm wondering if switchfin will adopt DAHDI support also for their BR4 appliance ?
Does the current mISDN design support NT ptp mode ?

Thanks.

Hans

Re: BR4 - Dahdi ?

The current design supports NT-mode. But can't supply phantom power (ie. connecting to a phoen, but if you consider using it as a gateway for a PBX this should not be necessary). And I have also heard/read that you might need to supply resesitive termination 100ohms. But i have never had to do that (connecting to pbx:es).

Currently you can't change this from GUI. But i have made an version of the misdn-startup script and changes to the GUI to support this.

Let me know if you want me to send it over to you (only replace 2 files under packages).

Re: BR4 - Dahdi ?

Hi Nunne,

I have also customized few boxes in NT-mode and putting this in the GUI is something pretty important indeed.

Please post your solution here so other can use it.

I can support anyone willing to do this as well.

Cheers
Dimitar

Re: BR4 - Dahdi ?

Okay, here is the files needed for NT-support in switchfin.
I'm currently working on a better misdn.html that supports changing the misdn parameters. But please give me a few days for that smile

Here are the files needed for NT-support on switchfin.
http://officenetwork.se/misdn-nt/misdn <- misdn-init script
http://officenetwork.se/misdn-nt/misdn.html <- gui file

So first you have to replace: package/persistent/br4/persistent/etc/init.d/misdn before compiling.

But before you create the image, replace: build_br4/asterisk-gui-4.0/config/misdn.html

And you should be all set smile

the misdn start-up script can be "replaced" after flash, because it resides on the /persistent partition.
But the misdn.html does not. So this have to be replaced in the image.

Feel free to contact me if there are any problems.

Re: BR4 - Dahdi ?

Hi Anders,

Oh you are implementing this in the GUI, perfect smile

Do you want to commit your work in the repository?
If yes please send me your sourceforge user name so I give you an access.

BTW we plan to put relays on the next BR4 production lot so termination and cable crossing is done automatically.

Thanks
Dimitar

Hi,

Sure, I would gladly commit it to the rep.
My username at sourceforge is also nunne.
