I have a IP04, release 383, that is unhappy with its FXO cards. Everything else works fine. It was working on the FXO side just fine then all calls went to pure static on outbound calling. I replaced the card with a know good card and it did not correct the issue.
I placed an analog performance meter in series with the PSTN line connected to the FXO card in port 3. When I dial out CLI show it dial out g1, the call goes to static but I do not see the off hook condition on my meter or the call actually attempt to go out. ??
Anyone else run into the before?
Also, can anyone tell me if the FXO card operation is critical to the characteristics of the analog line it is connected to? I'm asking because PSTN emulated lines from ATAs and some cable TV delivered dial tone services do not match the on hook voltage of a standard POTS line. I'm not seeing the average -48Vdc voltage from these lines and I do see a wide range of incoming ring voltages and AC wave shapes with these types of POTS alternatives.
Does anyone know how wide the operational window is for the FXO card sets?
